Joel Allen
Overview of Joel’s practice
Joel began his career in Residential Property in 2002 in Solihull, where he started at Sydney Mitchell Solicitors, having previously worked as a mortgage underwriter for Barclays Bank.
After a few years, Joel commenced his training to become a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer, qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2012 while working for Glover Priest Solicitors in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
After eventually manufacturing a move to a law firm in North Birmingham (having spent most of his working life in South Birmingham), Joel - who has lived in Sutton Coldfield since moving from Wales in 1985 - was a Senior Conveyancer at Ashley James Solicitors for 4 years before joining George Green LLP in June 2025.
Experience
Joel has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Residential Property and Conveyancing, from straightforward Freehold Sales and Purchases to more complex transactions such as Shared Ownership purchases, Freehold Reversions, Possessory Title applications for Unregistered land, and everything in between.
And, for something else…
Joel tries to spend as much time as possible with his wife, Dawn, while operating a taxi service for his two teenage daughters.
He is an avid Rugby Union fan, supporting Dragons RFC and, of course, Wales.
Joel also plays the drums in an alternative rock band, enjoys rehearsing and recording every week in the band’s studio, and playing a handful of gigs a year in and around Birmingham.
