George Green's Private Client Team comes out top in latest edition of leading legal market directory

The Private Client team of leading Midlands law firm George Green has once again been recognised as one of the Midlands leading Private Client teams in the latest Chambers & Partners High Net Worth directory.

The latest edition of Chambers & Partners High Net Worth directory (“Chambers HNW”) which benchmarks lawyers and law firms operating in the private wealth sector using a market research based model, has just been published. This has once again confirmed the success of George Green’s strategy, which puts clients first.

Feedback contained in Chambers HNW, quoted from interviewees, includes this praise for the team:

"George Green is a team of consummate professionals who listen, understand their clients' needs and aspirations and act accordingly." Another source describes the firm as a "George Green is able to deal with all legal matters our clients need and is a multi-discipline firm. They are able to draw on the expertise of other areas of law including corporate, employment, and family law. The private client team is able to problem-solve complicated issues."

Team head, Claire Pottinger, has been placed at the top of the rankings in Band 1 following the researchers’ enquiries of the firm’s clients and other market participants. Claire is marked out for praise with one interviewee commenting:

"Claire sees the whole picture, listens, and understands the needs of clients. She is able to deal with complicated and sensitive matters which require a high level of problem-solving." Another source states: "I have complete confidence in her knowledge and her ability to talk with people in a straightforward, no-nonsense way."

Private Client Partner, Louise Axford, has been ranked as “Up and Coming” with an interviewee quoted as saying:

"Louise was very helpful and reassuring, and seemed to get a lot done in a short space of time."

Private Wealth Disputes Partner, Liam Owen, has also been ranked “Up and Coming” and a source states:

"Liam was always pleasant and professional to communicate with, and was extremely effective and efficient in handling matters. I appreciated his transparency in communication." Another interviewee says: "Liam has beautiful drafting that is very careful. He is also a trained mediator, which comes to bear in how he deals with clients."

In addition, Associate, Susan Ford, who deals with contentious probate as well as property and commercial litigation, has been ranked as in “Associates to watch” with an interviewee quoted as saying:

"Susan is really meticulous and takes time with clients to get to the end result. She really is paying attention to the detail. Her wealth of expertise is great."
