Law Taster Days for Sixth Forms Students Held At George Green LLP

George Green LLP has once again been encouraging and inspiring local students to consider a career in law by providing a series of Law Taster Days at their Cradley Heath office. Sixth form students from local schools and colleges interested in reading law at university were invited to apply for a place on the scheme and 12 successful students attended each session.

The students taking part in the Taster Days were drawn from King Edward VI College, Ormiston Forge Academy, Oldswinford Hospital School Sixth Form and Windsor Sixth Form.

Alex-Jayne Lowe, Partner commented "It was great to meet with and help inspire the next generation of local lawyers. George Green’s Trainee Solicitors designed and delivered the sessions which included a range of engaging tasks and experiences to help the students to make an informed decision about whether a career in law is right for them."

David Stevenson, Chief Executive at George Green commented "A career in the law can offer so much in terms of challenge and opportunity. We are keen to help students gain an early insight in to the work of a lawyer and the inside of a law firm so they are better enabled to make informed decisions about their future direction. I met and spoke to a number of the students and was impressed with the level of interest and questions posed of us. Good luck now to all of those who choose to commence the journey to qualify as a solicitor."

George Green LLP received positive feedback from the students who attended the session with commenting, ‘”It was fantastic. I have experienced and learnt a lot about the legal profession”, “It was a very useful experience”, “Amazing, it was very organised and intriguing”, “Thank you for this amazing experience” to quote just a few from some students.

George Green LLP is a leading full service law firm and recognised as such in both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Our lawyers make a difference by helping our clients succeed. We have offices in Cradley Heath and Wolverhampton.
