Midlands law firm George Green LLP has recently chosen the charity it will raise funds for during the course of 2020. After consulting with its staff, George Green has decided that during 2020 it will raise funds to support Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity.

Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity seeks to improve the patient experience for all the women, babies and their families at the Women’s Hospital. The charity is currently raising £3.5m bringing a dedicated and standalone bereavement centre to the hospital for families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss, including stillbirths and neonatal death. Woodland House, as it will be known, will have rooms for parents and their babies to be together which they so desperately need and deserve and will also house support groups and follow up appointments as well as a mortuary. At the moment follow up specialist appointments are in the hospital where you have to walk in seeing parents with their babies and women who are pregnant or in labour which is of course  hard, especially in the early days. This new building will help take that away.

George Green LLP and its staff are holding events and taking part in various activities throughout the year to raise money for Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity.
