Last Friday George Green LLP welcomed 12 law students from King Edward’s College for an immersive Law Taster Day designed to provide insight into life at a law firm and the routes into a legal career.
The event was hosted by our trainee solicitors Lily Johnstone, Olivia Blakeway, Georgia Owen, Sabeel Alam, and Anna Cox, who guided students through a series of law-based tasks in small groups. Throughout the day, trainees shared their personal experiences of training and working in a law firm, answering questions about career paths and opportunities in the legal profession.
In the afternoon, the students participated in a Moot challenge, judged by the firm’s Training Principal, Adam Johnson. This interactive session allowed students to experience advocacy in a simulated court setting, and many remarked that this was their favourite part of the day.
Adam Johnson commented: “It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and talent of the students during the Moot challenge. Events like this are invaluable for building connections with local colleges and inspiring the next generation of legal professionals. We truly appreciate our ongoing relationship with King Edward’s College and look forward to hosting similar initiatives in the future.”
