A team from George Green LLP has undertaken the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge raising money for the law firm’s charity of the year, Myeloma UK, chosen in memory of former employee Linda Hadley.

On Saturday 18^th June, the fourteen strong team took on the challenge of scaling three of the highest peaks in Wales: starting at 5am by trekking up Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, moving on to Cader Idris at the southerly edge of the Snowdonia National Park and finally successfully tackling Snowdon - completing the challenge in under 17 hours, just as darkness fell.

Emma Fawkes-Underwood, Partner and Head of Property said “this was a spectacular effort by the team. 17 hours up and down these peaks is not for the fainthearted. It was a great day made even better when the skies cleared as we reached the top of Snowdon, rewarding us with some breath-taking views.”

Respect and encouragement for each other as well as thinking about others less fortunate than ourselves was very much reflected here. Undertaking the Welsh Three Peaks challenge was a great way to come together as a joined up, supportive team whilst also raising some money for our chosen charity. Suffice to say, whilst the challenge was hard work, we certainly had some fun along the way. The subsequent aches and pains were certainly worth it!
