This is not the case, any agreement regarding financial matters should instead be reflected in a financial order and this should formally dismiss any future claims. 

2. Remarrying before financial matters have been resolved

Remarrying before a financial order has been put in place with a former spouse may prevent the individual from bringing financial claims against their former spouse. 

3. Disregarding pension assets

Pension assets may make up a substantial part of a separating couples finances and to disregard these could leave one party in a seriously disadvantaged position.
