Overview of Joe’s Practice

Joe graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2020, obtaining a 2:1 law degree before studying for his master’s degree and LPC at BPP University.

Joe’s previous roles have been in data protection, ensuring GDPR and CCPA compliance for an international start-up company and working within the legal team at Barclays, dealing with the Bank’s security portfolio over commercial property.

Joe began his career at George Green as a paralegal in the Corporate team and subsequently Joe was offered and completed his training contract before then being offered a role within the same team.

Since qualifying as a corporate solicitor, Joe now specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructuring, and banking and finance work. With his experience in drafting transactional documentation, Joe can provide legal support on behalf of a buyer or a seller of a company, as well as providing advice in the banking and finance sphere. Additionally, Joe handles corporate restructuring work and management buyouts, as well as company secretarial duties. Examples of Joe’s work include drafting share purchase agreements, articles of association, shareholder’s agreements, and loan agreements.

Recent Experience

• Advised a leading subtitle, dubbing and translation company which provide services for the BBC, Disney and other leading film and television brands on a £16m facility from Lloyds Bank PLC.
• Advised on a purchase of an independent and sustainable fashion brand.
• Advised a leading agricultural company on their restructuring which involved a capital reduction and payment of a multi million pound dividend.
• Advised a holistic wealth management company on their purchase of a pension partnership and investment management company for around £10m.

Outside of the office, Joe stays active at his local gym and loves cheering on his beloved West Bromwich Albion. He enjoys socialising and is always up for a round of golf, weather permitting!
