A team from George Green LLP is starting training to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge raising money for the law firm’s charity of the year, Leapgate.

On Saturday 15th June, a team from George Green LLP will take on the challenge of trekking up Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The challenge is both physically and mentally demanding.

Leapgate is a recently established charity whose aim is to provide educational and vocational training and support to adults with learning disabilities. The vision at Leapgate is to build, operate and expand a facility capable of delivering activities for adults in the Worcestershire area.   These activities will be constantly evolving and wide ranging, examples being animal care, catering, crafts, horticulture, woodworking and indoor sports.  It is hoped the trek will raise much needed funds that will help Leapgate to deliver its aims.
