The West Midlands region is currently piloting an electronic based filing scheme for financial remedy proceedings.

Although in its early stages, the scheme requires Court forms and evidential documents to be filed at court electronically. The scheme aims to improve efficiency in the court system and the aim is for the scheme to be used across the country in the future should the pilot be successful.

A key aspect for any separating couple is to deal with financial matters that arise as a result of the breakdown of their relationship.  If parties cannot reach an agreement as to how their finances will be divided they may be required to issue Court proceedings.
