World Cup Fever Saw Rise In Domestic Violence
In a BBC report, the lead officer for football policing in England and Wales stated that there was a "significant rise" in domestic abuse reports during the World Cup.
More than 60 incidents were reported after England's semi-final loss, compared to the highest figure of 24 during the Euro 2016 championships.
George Green’s Family Solicitors are experts in advising clients at risk of domestic abuse as to steps that they can take to protect themselves. In particular, our Family Law Specialists regularly advise clients in respect of Non-Molestation Orders.
A non-molestation order protects an individual from violence, harassment and threats. The order can cover a wide range of behaviour and is generally used to offer additional protection to victims of domestic violence.
