Children due to start school in September 2023 will receive confirmation of their school application outcome on 17^th April 2023 (National Offer Day).

All parties who hold parental responsibility for a child should be involved in important decisions such as a child’s education and as part of that should be informed of the outcome of a school application.

A mother automatically has parental responsibility. A father can acquire parental responsibility by being named on the child’s birth certificate or being married to the mother at the time of birth.
