Family Law Solicitor

Overview of Marya’s practice:

Marya began her career by obtaining a Bachelor of Law (with Honours) Law degree at Keele University in 2011 before undertaking the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Birmingham City University in 2015. Having successfully completed her studies, Marya worked in a variety of law firms as a Family Paralegal dealing with different areas of Family law including children matters, financial relief, injunctive relief matters, and divorce matters.  She acquired an array of valuable skills and developed a thorough understanding of Family Law , before completing her training contract and subsequently qualifying as as a Solicitor in 2021.

Since qualifying Marya has continued to resolve a high number of matrimonial cases and inspired confidence by guiding clients from varying social and economic backgrounds. She has dealt with cases involving a variety of family law issues such as cases related to domestic abuse, complex financial cases with assets of high net worth and even sensitive children matters that have been accompanied with a criminal element to them.

Marya recently joined George Green in October 2024 within the Family Department as Family Solicitor. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and over 8 years’ worth of experience within the family sector having established herself in this area of law first as a paralegal and then as a Solicitor. Marya enjoys achieving effective settlements and resolutions for her clients and deals with all aspects of private Family Law related matters. Marya is an avid member of Resolution and a long-standing member of the Family Law Committee of the Birmingham Law Society.

In her spare time, Marya enjoys regularly travelling abroad to experience different cultures and she also enjoys thrill-seeking adventures such as skydiving and zip-lining.
