Gangmasters Licensing
The Gangmasters Licensing Authority was established on 1 April 2005 passed in the aftermath of the 2004 Morecambe Bay cockling disaster when 23 people died. The purpose of the authority is to prevent the exploitation of workers in the fresh produce sector.
The loss of a gangmaster’s licence have an extremely damaging impact on an employment business. We have considerable experience with dealing with GLA and handling revocation appeals. We have a 100% record of successfully resolving such appeals in favour of an employment business.
