Warwickshire pub fined for 11 food hygiene offences

Environmental health officers inspected the Norton Pub in Coleshill twice in July 2019.

They found the pub had no hot water and no effective food-safety management system. Food was being stored in an area that was not effectively pest-proofed. The pub’s kitchen and equipment were also dirty.

On 4 February at Nuneaton Magistrates Court, Westbourne Leisure pleaded guilty to 11 food hygiene offences including charges relating to cleanliness, pest-proofing, and the lack of hot water.

The court fined the owner of the pub, Westbourne Leisure, £136,000 for the breaches.
