INTEGRAL Template Documents

We recognise that many start-ups and early stage businesses are reluctant to put in place formal legal documentation because they see it as expensive, time consuming and complicated. This is a major concern, leaving promising businesses vulnerable to disputes and liabilities which may have devastating consequences.

Our legal experts have carefully constructed a pack of essential legal documents for early stage companies which can be freely downloaded once you have registered with us. Each document has, where relevant, an accompanying guidance note in clear language, explaining the background to the provisions and highlighting potential pitfalls. Our INTEGRAL legal templates are designed to make legal documentation accessible to all.

Of course, these resources are not intended to be a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional. Should you require more detailed advice from us in order to tailor documents to your precise requirements, we will usually give a fixed fee estimate for such “top-up work”.

Please note you will need to register in order to access these documents.

Company formation and constitutional documents

It is essential for a start-up business to adopt the most appropriate legal form.  For an explanation of the most common structures, please refer to our factsheet "Choosing a Business Structure".

Many people choose to carry on their business through a private limited company because of the limited liability structure that it confers.  Our suite of constitutional documents are suitable for use where a number of entrepreneurs wish to set up in business together through a limited company.  This is, however, by no means the only option.  Should you wish to explore the possibility of carrying on your business through an unlimited partnership or indeed an LLP, we would be happy to provide a fee estimate for preparing a suitable partnership or LLP members agreement.
