Our support for the Motor Neurone Disease Association

Each year, George Green LLP, a law firm based in the West Midlands, focuses their efforts on raising funds for one particular charity chosen by the firm.  For 2016 it was the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning and has a local branch which provides much needed help and support to MND sufferers and their families.

The firm participated in various fund raising events throughout the year including The Three Peaks Challenge, The Wolf Run and at Halloween, a Pumpkin Carving Competition.

The total raised for MNDA by George Green LLP in 2016 was £4,253.27.

Chief Executive of George Green said “It has been a huge pleasure to have worked with MNDA in 2016 and, vitally, to have been able to raise a material amount for this charity. I would like to thank all my colleagues who worked so hard to achieve this result. I am also pleased to announce that our staff has chosen during 2017 to support and raise monies for Combat Stress which is the UK's leading war veterans’ mental health charity. Combat Stress helps and supports those suffering from a range of mental health conditions including PTSD, depression and anxiety.”
