George Green supports Combat Stress

Midlands law firm George Green LLP has recently chosen the charity it will raise funds for during the course of 2017. After polling staff, George Green announces that during 2017 it will raise funds to support Combat Stress.

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans of the UK Armed Forces, providing free specialist clinical treatment and support to ex-servicemen and women across the UK.

Over the past five years the charity has received almost 10,000 referrals, an increase of 71%, which illustrates the urgent need to support veterans with mental health issues. The charity currently has more than 6,000 veterans across the UK registered with them.

George Green LLP will be holding, and participating in, various events over the next year in order to raise money for Combat Stress.

David Stevenson, Chief Executive said “I am delighted to announce that our chosen charity in 2017 is Combat Stress .The extent of our success in any year in helping our chosen charity is that its work resonates with the bulk of our people .This is why we ask staff to nominate a chosen charity and then take a vote on the matter .We are very much looking forward to a great year working with the charity”

Robert Marsh, Director of Income Generation at Combat Stress said; “We are so grateful to George Green LLP for making Combat Stress their chosen charity for 2017.

“Combat Stress continues to see a rise in the number of veteran referrals, in the last five years there has been a 71% increase. It is vital that we raise awareness and support for the charity in order to meet this increasing demand.”
