George Green LLP runs through obstacles for Combat Stress

A team from George Green LLP has completed a 5k inflatable obstacle run raising money for the law firm’s charity of the year, combat Stress.

The team had great time running around the course and finding their feet on some of the largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles in the UK with the finale requiring a lot of courage taking on either the ‘Leap of Faith’ or vertical ‘Plummet’ slide.

The team raised over two hundred and fifty pounds in aid of Combat Stress. Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans of the UK Armed Forces, providing free specialist clinical treatment and support to ex-servicemen and women across the UK.

Louise Axford, Private Client Solicitor and Head of the Charity Committee at George Green LLP said “I am thrilled that we had so many keen participants from across the firm for the event. It was a great afternoon and the sunshine definitely helped us along the way! Every pound raised will go directly to Combat Stress who will use the funds to help veterans suffering from mental health illnesses such as PTSD, Depression and Anxiety – a truly worthy cause.”

David Stevenson, George Green’s Chief Executive commented “I am keen that when comes to those of our core values such as respect and co -operation that we walk the talk; or in this case run (and jump!) the talk! A respect for the needs of others and the position of privilege we occupy means that we are committed to supporting each year our chosen charity .Taking part in the 5k Inflatables race was a great way to do this as whilst we were able to raise some money we were able at the same time come together as a team and, vitally, have some fun along the way –even if the day after we were all (including myself) nursing some aches and pains!”
