Midlands law firm George Green LLP recently held a Charity Footgolf Tournament at Halfpenny Green Golf Course. The event was well attended by clients and contacts of the firm with 12 teams taking part. The event raised funds for the firm’s charity, Creating Chances Trust, which supports the education and training of children in care.

Tim Lang, partner at George Green LLP, who organised the event, said “We have been supporting the Trust for a year or so and, with the funds raised at this event, have been able to donate over £6,000. We have also provided work experience opportunities for several looked after children with the firm and with our professional contacts. The Trust does great work and we are delighted to support it. A care leaver has a greater chance at 18 of being in prison than attending a university , which is tragic and wrong , and the Trust is seeking to put that right  “
