Leading Black Country law firm George Green LLP has appointed a new assistant solicitor who has completed his training contract with the firm.

Will Lang becomes an Assistant Solicitor in George Green’s Commercial team, based at the firm’s Cradley Heath offices, working alongside Partner and Head of Team Stephen Wyer.

Bewdley born and bred, 30 year old Mr Lang attended Bewdley High School, before attending Cardiff University and the College of Law in Birmingham.

George Green recruits two new trainees each year, with a view to offering them a permanent role after their two year training contract.

“We have put a great deal of effort into raising the profile of the firm and in making George Green a desirable place to train for young solicitors.  Will has made a significant contribution to the success of the firm during his time as trainee, so we are delighted that he has opted to stay with us having completed his training.” says senior partner Richard Cliff.

In the latest edition of the Legal 500, published in September 2009, George Green was named as the top corporate and commercial law firm in the West Midlands, based outside Birmingham.  This is the ninth year in succession which the firm has been awarded this top rating, and the fourth year in which it has been ranked at number one alone.
