Our Services
The employment team understands the issues facing employers and works towards offering practical cost-effective solutions. We have expertise in handling and advising on a range of matters including:-
- Telephone helpline. We provide regular telephone advice to a large number of clients on internal disciplinary/grievance matters and other personnel issues;
- Employment law newsletter. We prepare a free monthly e-mailed employment law newsletter. We currently send our newsletter to 1,000 recipients each month;
- Employment health checks. We offer a free 30 minute audit of employers’ contracts, policies and procedures to highlight any areas of risk and ensure that employers’ exposure is minimised;
- Drafting of employment contracts and company handbooks;
- Drafting of policies including equal opportunities, harassment, e-mail and internet policies, health and safety, maternity, disciplinary and grievance procedures;
- Assisting employers with redundancy programmes and TUPE transfers.
- We represent employers at Tribunal hearings. Contentious cases handled include unfair dismissal, discrimination, breach of contract, injunctions, labour disputes, restrictive covenant enforcement and TUPE claims;
- Anchor Employment Protection Scheme. For an annual fee, if a client takes advice from us regarding an employment law issue and despite this a Tribunal claim is brought, the insurance policy will cover our costs of representing the client at the Employment Tribunal and also pay any settlement sum or Tribunal award.

- We can arrange training courses which give managers practical advice as to how to deal with specific circumstances, e.g. effective disciplinary action, managing ill health absence, managing poor performance, stress at work, data protection, equal opportunities, TUPE and handling redundancies.
Our Clients
We act for a large number of clients on a nationwide basis. Our clients include companies and organisations from both the commercial and public sectors.
Our Employment Department is headed by Partner, Tim Lang, who is supported by a team of solicitors and other legal staff all based at our Cradley Heath office.
